Multi pair cables consist of groups of insulated conductors that are first twisted into pairs before being cabled together in the same form as multi conductor cables. This cable type is used extensively in the computer & communications industries. There are a wide variety of multipair cable constructions available including unshielded, overall shielded, individually shielded pairs, or even individually shielded pairs with an overall shield.
When considering a multipair cable, it is important to consider the possibility of crosstalk. Shielded pair cables eliminate crosstalk with 100% individually isolated shields over each pair within the cable. For applications where increased physical strength and/or superior shielding from electrostatic interference is required, ask about Multicable’s MultiShield shielding.
